A cell-permeable quinazoline compound that mimics adenine and acts as a specific, ATP-competitive (Ki ~ 20 µM) inhibitor of EF (edema factor) and CyaA adenylyl cyclase (AC) activities (IC50 = 90 µM). Does not inhibit EF-CaM (calmodulin) interaction or mammalian AC type I, II and V activities.
