Overview

This product has been discontinued.

A cell-permeable ribonucleoside analog of cytidine that is reported to readily incorporate into RNA and DNA, and inhibit protein synthesis. Causes DNA methyltransferases depletion, DNA hypomethylation and DNA damage. Selectively activates eukaryotic gene expression, and potently arrests the growth of several AML cells (EC50 < 4.0 µM). Enhances reprogramming efficiency (EC50 ~ 2.4 µM in iOSKM-MEFs). 5-Aza-2′-Deoxycytidine (ZaCyd) is also available (Cat. No. 189825) & (Cat. No. 189826).
