      DescriptionAnti-ABCG4 Antibody
      Alternate Names
      • ATP-binding cassette sub-family G member 4
      • ABCG4
Background InformationATP-binding cassette (ABC) sub-family G member 4 is a multi-membrane protein encoded by the ABCG4 (also known as WHITE2) gene in human. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White) with ABCG4 belonging to the White subfamily. ABCG4 is expressed primarily in the central nervous system in human and rat by Northern blot analysis (PMID 12183068). Transient expression in enterocytes and hematopoietic cells during murine embryonic development is also reported (PMID 19633360).
