Cell migration is characterized by direct interaction of cells with the extracellular matrix, cell communication with neighboring cells, or chemoattractant stimuli triggering cell movement. EMD Millipore employs Boyden Chamber technology in its cell migration assays. The assays are manufactured to provide quantitative determinations of the influence of assorted factors on cell migration including screening of pharmacological agents, evaluation of integrins or other adhesion receptors responsible for cell migration, analysis of gene function in transfected cells, and determination of ECM protein involvement in cell movement.  More>>
