General description

LiChrosorb® RP-8 is a reliable irregular shaped silica gel carriers with reversed phase properties. It is well suited for the separation of neutral, acidic and weak basic compounds.

Application

  • Simultaneous determination of ampicillin and metampicillin in biological fluids using high-performance liquid chromatography with column switching.: This research introduced an HPLC method with column switching to simultaneously determine ampicillin and metampicillin in biological fluids. The use of LiChrosorb® RP-8 (5 µm) in this method enhanced the separation efficiency, crucial for therapeutic drug monitoring (Lee et al., 1995) (Lee et al., 1995).
