      Description
OverviewRecombinant, rat fibroblast growth factor (FGF) basic consisting of amino acids 11-154 and expressed in E. coli. FGF basic, a member of the FGF family of mitogenic peptides, is known to bind heparine or cell surface heparin sulfate proteoglycans for binding, dimerization, and activation of tyrosine kinase FGF receptors. Also known to bind polysaccharides, proteins, and lipids with lower affinity.
