      Applications
ApplicationDetect Adenosine A2b Receptor using this Anti-Adenosine A2b Receptor Antibody validated for use in ELISA, IC, IH & WB.
      Key Applications
      • ELISA
      • Immunocytochemistry
      • Immunohistochemistry
      • Western Blotting
Application NotesImmunohistochemistry: 10-50 μg/mL on frozen and formalin fixed tissue sections. The receptor was localized in epithelial cells of the crypts, and in synctiotrophoplast cells of human placenta and in T84 human colon adenocarcinoma cells.

Western blot: 1-10 μg/mL (Chemiluminescence technique), 40-100 μg membrane proteins/lane of striatal membranes. Higher concentrations of the antibody may be necessary if colorimetric detection or milk-based antibody diluent are used.

Immunocytochemistry: Caufield, 2003. Light 2% PFA fixation 5-10 minutes --long fixations lower staining intensity.

      ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 (50-100 ng A2aR peptide (Cat. Number AG292)/well)

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
      Biological Information
ImmunogenAmino acid sequence corresponding to the 2nd extracellular domain (16 amino acids) of the human brain A2bR gene (Pierce et al. 1992; Tucker & Linden 1993).
ConcentrationPlease refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
      HostRabbit
SpecificityAdenosine A2b receptor. Recognizes a band of approximately 50-52 kDa in several rat, mouse and human tissues (thymus, placenta, colon and small intestine). The antibody also recognizes the 35 kDa band in small intestine. No bands were detected in skeletal muscle or heart.

      Entrez Gene Number
Entrez Gene SummaryThis gene encodes an adenosine receptor that is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. This integral membrane protein stimulates adenylate cyclase activity in the presence of adenosine. This protein also interacts with netrin-1, which is involved in axon elongation. The gene is located near the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.

      • ADORA2B
      • ADORA2
      UniProt Number
UniProt SummaryFUNCTION: SwissProt: P29275 # Receptor for adenosine. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase.
SIZE: 332 amino acids; 36333 Da
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
SIMILARITY: SwissProt: P29275 ## Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
