      Description
OverviewRecombinant, human E-selectin consisting of 535 amino acids minus the transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains expressed in CHO cells. This glycoprotein is transiently expressed on vascular endothelial cell surfaces where it is able to bind to ligands such as SLex found on leukocytes. This initial binding event is followed by a second interaction involving ICAM and VCAM-1 that leads to vascular penetration and leukocyte invasion into the extracellular matrix tissue.
